The San Bernardo Islands are a national park the reefs are protected by law and the Area is almost uninhabitated and there is no mayor tourism in the Area.This means that there are no "blackwatergenerators" like towns, hotels etc. The coastline is covered by virgin mangroves the breeding place for millions of tropical reef fish.Where currents accumulate the corraline sand in front of the mangroves, there are wonderfull tropical beaches with palmtrees this is the case in White Sands Beach. Due to the Mangroves the marine live in the reefs is extraordinary rich by far better than in commercialized caribbean destinations where the mangroves has been dried out to win land for construction. This is maybe the last destination in the caribbean where you can see reef sharks without feeding sessions.

You hate that crowded "cattleboats" that let a twenty divers at one place and let you see nothing than other divers ? In white Sands Beach you have your own boat. It is a 8m 2X 30 hp boat with sunprotection and special adaptions for diving it is the private boat of the owner and he is a passionate diver himself. A local fisherman will bring you to the good places whenever and how often you want. You decide where the tour goes. Boat Skipper and tanks are included in the package price. You can reach the nearby shallow reefs in a ride of not more than four minutes, or go to the drop off in the outer islands what will take a ride of about 1 hour. Driftdives, Nightdives anything is available and included in the price. If you need a divebuddy i will come with you. The tanks can be refilled on a excellent private compressor five minutes in boat from White Sands Beach. In case of emergency you Caragena the mayor coastal town of Colombia can be reached in a 1,5 hour ride by boat. Here you can repair anything what a diver needs (Underwater Camera, etc.) and you can even use the decompression chamber of the naval base.
